With a full roster this weekend, Imua powered through the tournament with a 5-2 record and making it into the Gold bracket of the tournament. This was the best outcome for the team in a large tournament since the beginning of the season.

The team started off this past weekend by rolling past their first pool defeating both CT Impact Red (25-16, 27-25) and DVA 16 North (25-14, 25-20). The team came out of the pool ranked first and went into the next pool of the day in high spirits.

To start off the afternoon pool of the tournament, Imua again showed their strength by defeating Academy 16-1 (25-20, 26-24). The second match of the afternoon was against Synergy Orange 15-1. Imua played a hard fought match against them only to fall in three (24-26, 25-22, 13-15). The girls ended the day with a record of 3-1.

Sunday was a big test for the girls, as they had to win two playoff games to make it into the gold bracket. The test was nothing for Imua as they won both games, beating DVA 15 National (25-15, 25-14) and Valley Forge 16 Blue (24-26, 25-18, 15-10), placing them into the gold bracket.

Imua ended the tournament with a loss to NVVA Select 15-1 (17-25, 21-25). The girls fought hard and had a great overall tournament. They are really starting to play together as a team and we can’t wait to see what is going to happen next!

Congratulations girls on a great finish!
