This past weekend, AVVC’s 14 National Team, INFERNO, took 2^nd place out 16 teams at the GEVA tournament at PowerZone in Denville, NJ.  INFERNO went undefeated in both sets and matches in pool play against East End Waves, Alpha Gamma 14 Omega, and Club Attack 14 to advance to the gold playoff bracket.  They won their semi final match, 25-17 and 25-20 against Long Island Fury. 

With the tournament format changing from best of three to a single set elimination, their next opponent, Digs Red, provided better competition but with excellent team work and power serving, INFERNO came out on top 27-25.  They met up with NYC Juniors 14 Blue in the championship game.  By far the best opponent of the day, NYC overcame INFERNO and handed them their only loss 19-25. 

INFERNO has now placed 2^nd at both GEVA local tournaments so far this year.  Good luck in DC!!!!!
