JET MANZI

School:Marlboro
Year:Sophomore
Position:Outside hitter
Highlights:Manzi led the sixth-year Mustangs to their first Shore Conference divisional title in history as they went 9-1 in Class A North. They went 23-6 overall, setting a school single-season wins record. The 5-foot-6 Manzi wound up with 68 aces and 262 kills. Manzi was the driving force behind the team's success as she was able to transmit her enthusiasm, competitiveness and determination to her teammates. Manzi was one of the most powerful hitters in the Shore Conference and was a student of the game as she was rarely out of position and knew how to adjust. A former gymnast, Manzi began playing volleyball as a sixth-grader. Now totally dedicated to volleyball, Manzi also plays with the Geva Volleyball Club in Watchung Hills.

KRISTEN GELENITIS

School:Red Bank Catholic
Year: Junior
Position: Middle hitter
Highlights:Gelenitis was a key reason the first-year Caseys went 11-1 to win Shore Conference Class B North and finished at 17-8 overall. The 5-foot-10 Gelenitis notched 62 blocks, 49 aces, 108 kills and 70 digs. Gelenitis, one of the Caseys' three captains, was one of their most experienced players as she has played at the club level for a number of years. Gelenitis displayed excellent ball control skills and was very quick despite her height. The owner of excellent leaping ability, she exhibited quickness to the ball.
