Jan 19^th-21st

            The last day ended up with a gold medal around our necks. It was a long and sweaty day for everyone. The first game of the day was against Club Integrity 15. It was a nerve racking game with a tie breaker game. We were down 8-2 at the switch when Grace had a serving streak and we won with a score of 16-14. The semi-final was against Sportime LIVBC. Again it went into a tie breaker with a final win at 15-10. The final was against TCA which once again went into a tie breaker. We had won the switch at 8-6 and at the end won with a score of 15-12.  All and all we had won Gold in the Silver Bracket, finalizing the weekend 11^th out of 40 teams.

            Throughout the weekend everyone gave their full effort. Bryn and Kate worked their hardest on setting up hitters for a kill and making the smartest decisions on sets. Grace and Francesca worked the outside with countless amazing kills, and when needed some tips.  Chino and Alexa kept the court clear by setting up blocks and succeeding in 1’s, 3’s, 32’s and some sneaky slides on free balls. Abby, Marlana and Sasha had frequent kills and some amazing saves on the right sides throughout the weekend. Emily and Briana protected the court with numerous digs on defense and perfect serve receive. Emily also helped out Kate and Bryn with setting up all three hitters when needed. We worked on covering and making sure we knew who we were going against on the other team and what we had to do to win OUR game. We all had our moments of frustration and tiredness but with Coach’s motivational time outs and tips we all worked as one to come together and earn us a win. Parents helped by replenishing our food and drinks and keeping us motivated throughout the entire weekend.
Overall results :

Day 1- Finished (2-1), for a three way tie for first, and by points finishing 2^nd for the day. Day 2- Finished (2-2), 3^rd for the high seated Silver bracket. Day 3- Gold in the Silver Bracket. 11^th out of 40 teams.
