16 National Win the Silver Bracket in York

16 National La Lima won the silver division at their second MAPL event in York, PA.  La Lima came out strong in their first two matches of the tournament, taking NVVA ICE (placed second overall) to three games and finally getting revenge on Crosscourt Purple with a victory in three.  Beating Crosscourt Purple elevated La Lima’s ranking from 32nd to 6th overall.  La Lima continued battling on day two with big win against the Brandywine Bobcats.  Now in a position to play for the gold, La Lima battles PVA (placed first overall) but comes up short and is put in the silver division.

Three matches stood between La Lima and the silver division’s top spot.  First opponent is Revolution South 16.  After handling them in two games, La Lima moves on to familiar foe crosscourt Purple, also crushing them in two.  After a grueling day and hour wait, La Lima overcomes their fatigue and defeats Delaware United in three games, to take the silver division.

La Lima continues their success in Baltimore.

The month of March has proved to be a successful one for 16 National.  After an impressive showing in York, Pa, La Lima makes it to the gold and ties for ninth at NEQ.  In their first day, La Lima faces off against rivals CT Impact and Synergy 16 Navy.  After beating them both, La Lima finishes their day with a loss to first ranked Xtreme Heat, giving them a second place finish on day one.

After beating Academy-16 2 in two games and having a disappointing three game loss to Oakland Elite, La Lima finally get to match up against the undefeated and bitter rival CAVA Lima.  In their previous match at MLK, CAVA crushed La Lima in two leaving nothing but the terrible taste of defeat.  So, a lot more than a win was on the line in this match.  La Lima proved to be too much for CAVA, destroying them in two, forcing the pool into a three way tie for first.  After pacing in front of the championship desk, La Lima gets word that due to game percentage, they are FIRST in the pool which sends them straight to the gold.

La Lima finishes the tournament tied for ninth.  GOOD JOB GIRLS!! ALWAYS COMPETE!!
