The 15 National Titans teams won the AVVC 15 Open Spring tournament in a convincing fashion. Continuing on their strong performance from the last GEVA tournament (finished 2nd) the Titans have had their best showing so far. Plagued by injury to three key players the team played hard and came together to win their first tournament of the season.  They started out pool play strong with wins over LBVC 15-1 (25-11, 25-5) and LIVBC 15 White (25-9, 25-17).  The last pool play match against Apex was the only challenging game of the day where the Titans came up short.  Although we had a good start winning the first set 25-17 Apex was hungrier for a win since they have lost their past three matches against us. So they came back with more intensity and won the second game 20-25. True to form the last game was much contested. Some critical errors toward the end gave Apex the lead and they ended up winning the set by a score of 11-15.  With that loss the 15 National team ended up 2^nd in the pool when advancing to the playoffs.  Digs 15 Red would be their first opponent in the semi-final round of playoffs.  By all mean this was the game of the tournament. Hard hitting and excellent serving helped push the Titans passed Digs in three sets (24-26, 25-18, 10-15).  They met up against Essex 15 Black in the final round of playoffs and easily got the win in 2 sets (25-12, 25-12).
