The 18 "Black Ops" team just got back from Capitol Hill Volleyball Classic with a 21st finish in their division (out of 64).  With a strong pool play effort in both days; Black Ops managed to go 2-1 (Win vs. WWVBC 18-1, Loss vs. NYC Juniors 18N, and Win vs. Evolution 18-1) in the first day to get the team into Gold or Silver bracket contention.  The second day, Black Ops started with a 0-1 start vs. FAVA 18-1, and ended up just falling short in a 3 set thriller to a familiar foe, Revolution SC 18 White (22-25, 25-20, 12-15)!  Needing a win, the girls managed to play great volleyball and helped each other towards a victory over WACO Avalanche.  Black Ops then was in a 3 way tie for 2nd place, and because of a .1 point percentage differential, they ended up in 3rd! :(.  That lead our team to a Monday playoff in the silver bracket vs. Charles County 18-1, who we ended up losing to, giving a 110% effort.  Our next tournament will be the KRVA Irish Rumble on March 17 and 18, and we look forward to another competitive showing.
