AVVC 14 Regional (Boom) started off the MLK tournament very strong winning their first match on Saturday over the Bobcats, 25-20, 25-23.  They played their next match against Highline and took them to 3 sets, 25-27, 25-18 and ended up dropping the last and exciting set 13-15.  The girls worked extremely hard to win the next match in a complete team effort against Powerhouse, 25-23, 19-25, 15-7.  They ended Saturdays play in second place 2-1.  The girls tried their hardest on Sunday but fell short ending the day 0-3.  Delaware 25-19, 18-25, 13-15; MVSA- 19-25, 14-25 and Liberty Belles- 19-25, 21-25.  Despite the losses on Sunday team BOOM still landed a spot in the silver bracket.  The girls put forth their best effort on Monday but fell to Columbia 17-25, 17-25.  The team is looking to improve and gain more experience before their next tournament Feb 11th.
