As we get into the heart of our 2014-2015 Atlantic Valley Volleyball Club season, I continue to see drastic improvement from each of our teams.  Each and every team we have continues to gel and play more like a team.  While the end result is not always a win, all teams have shown significant improvement and have been progressing to expectations set forth by their coaches.

With the majority of the club having two tournaments under their belts, we now look forwards to stepping up the pace with training and finding each team's rhythm.  We're here to improve the growth of each and every individual player in our club and recommend that all players take advantage of any of the clinics that are offered.

We, as a club, have many goals.  Not only are we here to improve the skills of individual players, but to improve the teams and volleyball in the state of New Jersey.  We also do so by continually educating ourselves as coaches and bringing in new, young eager staff that we can train to be head coaches in the future.

As I traveled around and around and around this weekend watching our teams play and our coaches coach, it was clear that we as a club are all continually trying to improve.  Though all of our coaches may have differing styles and personalities, it was evident that we all spoke a very similar language when it came down to the verbal cues in coaching the game.  I do urge all of our players and parents to be mindful more of what is being taught than the tone that is stated in.

Our goals are to make your sons and daughters a better player than he/she was previously.  It may not be right here and now, but every change our coaches ask for is for the benefit of the player and we expect a drastically improved player by the end of the year.

I look forwards to the club's continued growth.
