When asked what position they play, each member of our 16 Red "Ikaika" can resoundly and proudly say, "all" . Entering Sunday's GEVA Power League 3 tournament with only six healthy players, one injured on the bench and one in a state of recovery, our 16 Red put on an amazing show taking the tournament to the finals. With no substitutions, Ikaika went 3-0 in pool play taking each team in two sets. With securing the bye in the 1st round of playoffs, they commanded Academy 15s in the quarter finals and Downstate 15s in the semis. Demonstrating Atlantic Valley sportsmanship, our girls offered to work the other semi final match to allow an appreciative Downstate squad an early departure.

Like the first two Power League events, Ikaika again faced Academy 16s in the finals. Despite being out numbered 2 to 1 and with no bench, our girls fought hard and made Academy earn every point. Finishing the match 20-25, 21-25, our 16 Red gained the accolades of the entire Academy coaching staff.

Congratulations to Alexa, Mackenzie, Maria, Francesca, Bryn, Grace, Casey and Emily; they are volleyball players.
